The Royal Caledonian Curling Club, in partnership with Inverness Ice Centre, Highland Council and Coaching Highland is looking to employ a Part- time Curling Development Officer. You must demonstrate a high level of motivation and commitment to the development of the sport. Applications from suitable candidates from outwith the curling sphere are welcomed.

You will be responsible for developing and promoting involvement and participation in curling, at all levels, throughout Inverness & the Highlands.

A knowledge of curling and the possession of a relevant coaching qualification are desirable.

This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.

Graduate Coaching Matters Co-ordinator

£19,646 - £22,126 pro rata

(2 year fixed – term)


Stirling is Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence and is one of the leading universities for sport in the UK. It has excellent facilities, an extensive practical teaching programme, a prestigious sports scholarship scheme and very popular degree programmes in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. It is rated first in Scotland and fifth in the UK for sports research.

Applications are invited for the post of Graduate Coaching Matters Co-ordinator in the Department of Sports Studies. The successful candidate will run the day-to-day operations of the Sport Scotland supported CPD programme for Performance Coaches in Scotland. The successful applicant will also be required to register for the MSc in Sports Coaching in the Department of Sports Studies, the fees for which are covered in this package.

The post is for two years fixed term working 24 hours per week from September 2009 until September 2011.
